Many times, students aren't sure how to research and site information. So as an easy way out they cheat and copy work that isn't theirs. To prevent plagiarism on the undergraduate level, I suggest that research course be implemented into the cirriculum. These courses will assist students with developing and improving their research skills. Many universities have a zero tolerance for plagiarism. I agree with this policy; however, how can students be accussed for plagiarism if they don't know how to perform research on a topic? This is not fair. Educators and school systems are responsible for providing the information for students on how to research to prevent future events where students turn to plagiarism.
